I like this stuff. Its kind of psychedelic but it still incorporates elements of heavy metal, don't expect any blazing solo's though, Neither lyrics that are straight forward. I know this forum usually discusses the more speedy instrumental kind of metal but this band seems to be more about well defined vocals and a good technical backing track, which is quite new for me.

Katatonia is fucking great. I guess most guys on here aren't into it because of the lack of solos and such, but I really dig them. Nice songwriting and atmosphere... love the dark, pretty ambient feel... Night is the New Day is their best album to date, I think, but The Great Cold Distance is awesome too...

I am perfectly fine, I like a lot of music and am very open minded, I just dont like shit bands that cant sing and don't play guitar solos or use melody in music.

I believe yngwie has the same outlook on music to.
